About Me

My passion for photography began when I was 9 years old, when I started taking black and white photographs of everything I thought beautiful, loving the effects of natural light, color, and angles to accentuate the expression on people’s faces, to capture the perfect details of a tree or flower, the shapes of life– everything became magical through my camera lens. I spent hours printing black and white photos that appeared in a mysterious way in trays of chemicals and in darkness.

All of this led to my studying fine art photography at The San Francisco Art Institute. I had so many great instructors and mentors. Photographing nature in black and white became a passion for me.

Then another passion bloomed: portrait and wedding photography. I attended numerous workshops to grow proficient in that area, including those focused on indoor and outdoor lighting and gained practical experience working for two wedding studios before starting my own business in 1986.

I love portrait photography, the way the camera catches the heart and soul of you or your family members. I also love the laughter, as well as tears of happiness, that wells up during a wedding and welcome the opportunity to be a part of your day and to photograph all of those beautiful moments between you and your loved ones, moments that you and your family will cherish and never forget. I hope to be more than your photographer, by being a calming presence and someone who also brings the fun!

I walk, I look, I see, I stop, I photograph

For me, photography is all about photographing beautiful, meaningful events – creating memories which will last a lifetime.

I feel like the luckiest person because I get to photograph couples crazy in love. I love to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera.  I am there on your wedding day to guide you into the best light when you are getting ready, I scout out places for your portraits ahead of time. I look for places with beautiful light and that fit your personality.
And above all, it’s about capturing and telling your love story because every couple is so unique, no wedding is the same.

My photography style is romantic and true-to-you. For me, it is all about photographing beautiful, meaningful events – creating memories which will last a lifetime.

The real magic comes in when candid moments, unfolding naturally throughout your day, as well as some awesome portraits, are captured by my camera. I am constantly taking pictures of things as they unfold, looking for connections between people, capturing everything important: those priceless looks of wonder, love, joy, and laughter that tug at the heart!
